How joining works
- Enter the code — or just open the invite link, or scan the room's QR code with the scanner in VanshLink.
- Type your name — the name others in the room will see. Nothing else.
- Chat — send messages, photos, voice notes and vote in polls until the room ends.
Joining questions
Where do I find the room code?
The person who made the room can send it as text or a link, show you the QR code, or share the invite poster to their Instagram story. A code is 6 to 12 letters and numbers, like GOA2026 or 7KQ2MXPA.
Do I need an account to join?
No. Type the code, type your name, and you're in. No sign-up and no phone number.
The room asks for a password
The person who made it added a password. Ask them for it — the room's name and messages stay locked until you enter it.
The code doesn't work
Check it for typos (O and 0, I and 1). If it's right, the room has probably ended: rooms delete themselves when their time is up, or when everyone leaves a live room. Ask for a new code.
Can I leave and come back?
Yes, while the room is still running. It's saved on your device under Your active rooms, and you'll see the messages you missed in rooms that last 1 hour or more.
